THE INTERNET, THE WEB AND ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

URL: Url stands for "uniform resource locator". We use the synonym Url to make it easy to say. The use of Url is for the address of web pages on the Web. Example of Url : http://www.blogspot.com


HTML: Html is short for Hypertextmark up Language it's construct the markup language and the web pages.HTML is a display language, not a programming language. The web is to read HTML documents and composing it into a visual web pages. the tags of the web designers can add text,tables,images.
 Example of Html elements : <CENTER> </CENTER> "center": anything between these will be centered ( it is in angle brackets).




JAVASCRIPT: Is a well-known scripting language that is fully supported in the Web Browsers and other Web tools.  JavaScript is easier to use than Java, but not as powerful and deals mainly with the elements on the Web page. JavaScript is maintained as source code embedded into an HTML page. Example: Cause a linked-to page to appear in a popup windows.


APPLETS:  Is a program that is written in the Java programming language that can be in a web page. It can function as any other normal software application but is small in size and performs only a small set of tasks. Example: Windows Notepad.










BLOGS: Blogs are a type of websites that is arranged in chronological order from the entries,an online journal. Blogs are written by people and updates it regularly. Blog communities sprung up some topics putting people into contact with each other in where they can share information, ideas, make friends and show them their creative side like photography and their own personal diaries of  -             hobbies.

WIKIS: Wiki means the "simplest online database that could possibly work" Wiki is similar to blogging but  in structure and logically way. It is a website that comprises the perpetual collective of work from many authors which you can create and edit in the interlinked websites.





FTP: Stands for File Transfer Protocol (FTP) it is a network that is protocol and used to send a copy file from another network to another by the Web. It is build for date connections between the client and the server. Example : Graphical User Interface ( GUI)






PLUG-IN:  Is a sofware that contains a specific feature of hardware and a software module that adds to a larger system and a larger application. It also separates the source code from an application because of the incompatible software licenses like a Usb.
Example: Microsoft office is extend it's application by adding special features, and  Netscape Navigator browser displays Audio and video messages.




FILTER:A utilities that is to import and export data structure and an application of data that allows to the main input stream and  writes its main results to its standard output data. 
Examples : WordFilter 






INTERNET SECURITY SUITE: Specifically in the network security for a computer as we called it anti-virus. It is to insecure for exchanging informataion and intrusion or fraud and malware's. It protects our computer information and files and to protect the content data transfer. It provides access control,data origin integritu and protection agains replays. Example: Kaspersky Internet Security,McAfee Internet Security Suite and ZoneAlarm security suite.

CAREERS IN IT

Webmaster
Also known as webmistress for female is the person with mainly task to develop and maintaining one or more websites. Literally, webmaster is categorized by two professions which are web designer and web developer. The jobs of webmaster may include designing the websites, creating and updating webpages, examining traffic through the site and reply to user feedback. Businessperson use online to operate their business like selling, buying and ordering the products. There are several additional skills to cover up by business webmaster besides those regular skills which is a more to management content such advertising, marketing and order fulfillment.




Computer Support Specialist
The one who provide technical assistance and support to system users. this may includes instruction in computer concepts, information systems, networking, operating systems and software application. in addition, computer support specialist who provide assists over communication device such phone, email or video conference is mostly known as help desk technician.



Technical Writer
It is important to deliver an appropriate words in written communication as it will effect receiver understanding. Thus, technical writer job comes out to carried out the suitable type of information that needs to be conveyed. Technical writer is a specialist to transmitting, understanding and formatting a technical subject such as health, science, technology and engineering.


Software Engineer
A person who designs and programs system-level software, such as operating systems, database management systems and embedded systems. The title is often used for programmers in the software industry who create commercial software packages, whether they be system level or application level. 'Software engineer, 'systems programmer' and 'systems engineer' titles are often synonymous.












Network Admin
A network administrator stress on subject regarding computer network, comprising Local Area Network ( LAN ) and Wide Area Network ( WAN ) or as generally the internet, where files, programs and information are stored. Network administrator activities may includes network address assignment, routing protocols and table configuration, developing a storage management program and assists in establishing standards for microcomputer and network system resources.




Database Admin

Could be most complex job in IT. Their responsibilities is to ensuring that a database is available at all to the users and programs that need it. This 
includes making backups and archiving data. It also includes on-going monitoring to ensure that the database is responding to requests quickly.










System Analyst

System analyst analyze business or scientific tasks or plan and develop the hardware system and software that allow a computer to complete particular tasks. Sometimes, system analyst also work on improving computer systems already in use. System analyst will perform several tasks such as ensure project delivery and customer satisfaction is met all projects, educate stuff and develop training that will assists in the programming of new developed system application, look for the ways to enhance the product or a new business process and program, tests and debug application changes.




Programmer

Computer programmers write the step-by-step instructions that direct computers to process information. These instructions, or programs, tell the computer what to do in a series of logical steps. Programmers work on a wide range of projects. The kind of work a programmer does depends on the employer. Programmers work in manufacturing, industry, engineering,government offices, hospitals and educational institutions. Several tasks of programmer are includes develop an application from beginning to end, maintain existing application, create codes that meets system standards, innovates data visualization and presentation techniques and analyzes method to efficiently address software system requirements.
