Graphical User Interface (GUI)

It is a user interface that connect users to interact with electronic devices with images and the actions of the user through graphical icons  and direct manipulation of the graphical element.




WORD PROCESSOR

It is one of the earliest applications for the personal computer in office productivity. The program is used to perform word processing functions such as composition,editing,formatting and any sort of printable material. Example of applications: Microsoft word, Google Docs and Open Office.







SPREADSHEET

Application that simulates a papaer and accounting worksheets. its contains vareity of text and numeric values or fomulas. Spreadsheet is more used on financial work because it can re-calculate the entire sheet automatically after a single change that is made to the layer.

DBMS:

Dbs means 'Data Management System'. It is a software program that controls the organization,storage,management and retrieval of data in database.By this program we can  control the use of a database access in an organization.






UTILITY SUITES:

Software that are specialized and designed to perform only a single task or a small range of tasks. It allow users to create text documents,playing games,listening to music and online. This software is more on the computer infrastucture. 
Example : Disk storage and disk cleaner.




AUDIO EDITING SOFTWARE:

An audio editing software is an application for editing audio and manipulating digital audio. you can mix and record audio as-well. You can mix and add effects,audio noise reduction and equalization to make the audio sound more quality.   Example: Ecasound,Logic Pro and Goldwave.

BITMAP IMAGE:
Is a type of memory and image file format that used to store digital images. The use of bitmap it implies one bit per pixel (which when we zoom it will turn into pixels). It is usually used to built-in graphic subsystem.
Example: JPEG,JIF.






DESKTOP PUBLISHING 
PROGRAM:


DTP is a software that is used to create a page layout. It's a program that helps to create publication documents  on a computer either large and small scale of multifunctional output like a typewriter.

HTML EDITOR:


It's function is for creating a web page. Html editors contains structured of markup language ,and it can be written in W3c standards for the web.

IMAGE EDITOR:

Its is a graphic software that manipulates visual images on a computer. The pictures can be edit the colours of the lighting,add a text and you can edit videos too other than photos. It can create animation and GIF.

MULTIMEDIA:

It means electronic media is a mixture of variety of content forms. That is includes text,audio,still images,animation,video and interactivity.
It can be recorded and be played nor displayed by the information content of the computerized devices. example: Hypermedia.





VECTOR IMAGE:

It is the sofware where we can use geometrical primitives like for example ponits, lines,curves and all shapes and polygons. this is called raster graphics which representation images in array of pixels. By this we must draw using vector tools.




WEB AUTHORING:

The software that is used to make a web site in a desktop publishing format.  It is to design and writing the site's underlying code to write the text to manage the site's update.
